#ChefPii’s infamous pink sauce appeared on TikTok in the summer of 2022, promising a mouthful of flavor with unique pink coloring.
After going viral on social media, the sauce’s creator, ‘Chef Pii,’ decided to start selling her homemade mixture to fans. However, a few TikTok users expressed concerns about the product.
Many said their sauce spoiled in the summer heat when shipped to them, while others pointed out some inconsistencies in the ingredients listed on the packaging.
Despite the backlash, ‘Pink Sauce’ partnered with hot sauce brand ‘Dave’s Gourmet’ to produce the sauce “on a commercial scale under the required food safety manufacturing guidelines.”
The sauce is available at 4,300 Walmart locations across the United States, as well as on Walmart’s website.
