First, who DOESN’T LOVE good ole #BenAndJerrys? They not only make some interesting and often times, bomb diggity flavors, but they stand up and behind the causes that matter.
#AvaDuVernay’s newest notch on her belt of directing award winning pieces is through her partnership with B&J. They have created a new vegan flavor ‘Lights! Caramel! Action!” And what’s dope about this release is it’s actually available in both non-dairy (almond milk based) and regular ice cream.
The full time flavor is a mash up of vanilla ice cream with salted caramel swirls, graham cracker swirls and chunks of chocolate chip cookie dough. Definitely a bomb foodie feature premiere. Fully directed by Duvernay who personally curated the #flavor creation with the Ben & Jerry’s Flavor Gurus and scientists behind the scenes.
Proceeds of Lights! Caramel! Action! will benefit Ava’s non-profit #ARRAYAlliance which was founded in 2011 and a recipient of a #PeabodyAward. One of the goals is amplify and elevate the work of not only POC artists and directors, but #Women
