Jury Recommends Life In Prison Without Parole For Parkland School Massacre Shooter Nikolas Cruz

Jury rejects the death penalty for the shooter in the 2018 massacre that left 17 dead at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida. The decision means he will get life in prison when sentenced by a judge.

The victims’ families are not happy with the decision and expressed their disgust with the legal system.

Circuit Judge Elizabeth Scherer, who cannot overrule the jury’s recommendation, will formally issue the life sentence on November 1.
