“To anyone who has ever, ever had a dream and thought your dream wasn’t, wouldn’t, couldn’t come true. I am here to tell you that this is what believing looks like. This is what striving looks like. And don’t you ever, ever give up on you…” the beautiful and encouraging words spoken by @thesherylleeralph after winning #SupportingActress September 12th, 2022 at the 74th Emmy’s. She is the 2nd Black woman to win in the category of best supporting actress in a comedy series.

Ralph’s mother hails from Jamaica and when Ralph returns, she will not just be the amazing Broadway performer, actress and singer but, “The Honorable Sheryl Lee Ralph Order of Jamaica.” Ralph says she immediately heard about celebrations after her win. “Jamaica lost its mind last night,” states Ralph, and celebrated in spirit.

Throwing some flavor on things as we often do, the one-time Tony nominee (“Dreamgirls”) opened by singing Diann Reeves’ “Endangered Species – the acceptance speech that followed was definitely one of the most memorable from the night.

Congratulations to the entire cast and crew of #AbbottElementary and a well deserved, long overdue congratulations to Mrs. @Thesherylleeralph on her win! #BWLM💕
