By now, we’ve all seen Walmart’s poor attempt at celebrating #Juneteenth – a blasphemous attempt if you ask us.
Today, we want to celebrate Chef Liz Rogers, CEO and creator of one of the best ice cream lines to date; @socreamalicious ! #BlissfullySouthern is more than an appropriate tagline; it’s the TRUTH!
Chef Rogers has carefully crafted some amazing flavors that are sure to be a hit with even the pickiest of taste buds. With spot on names like Right as Rain Red Velvet Cheesecake, Porch Light Peach Cobbler, Aunt Poonie’s Caramel Poundcake and slap Yo Mama Banana Pudding seriously, who wouldn’t want to try these?!
“We craft our desserts by harnessing the familiar experience that Southern comfort foods bring, and blend it with a culinary artistry that feeds our spirit… there’s a dream in every scoop” Rogers states on the company website.
As far as mass production goes, the line is one of the ONLY African American-owned national ice cream brands a good ice cream goer can find. Chef Rogers pays homage to her roots and community by crafting delicious Southern artisan desserts, combining pastries, desserts and ice cream.
The reviews seem to speak for themselves! We shimmied over to Facebook to check out some of the reviews and they did not disappoint. Hint: everyone loves them!
The line can be found currently at Target and Kroger but if they’re sold out, we can attribute that to the blazing word of mouth. You can also check out the website http://www.socreamalicious.com for more details and store locators. #BWLM💕
