With the times we live in today, it’s always good to see a set of diversity on our TVs as we always wish that there was more. The lovely people in the areas of and near Temple, Waco, and Killeen, Texas can start their mornings watching three well-informed, hard-working Black women report the news.

BET reports that local Texas news station KCEN, an NBC affiliate, has a new show where its hosts are all Black women. @NBCTexasToday is led by Jasmin Caldwell, Taheshah Moise, and meteorologist Ashley Carter.

“Growing up, I always saw all-white news anchors,” Caldwell tells @BET. “I didn’t think that there would ever be Black newscasts. I knew there was always room for one, but I didn’t think that I would see three African Americans — male or female — permanently, all at one time. No way.”

These three anchors serve as an example for young B women who will be watching them. They prove that what people want to achieve within the world is within their reach as they can now watch three women that look like them tell the stories of the world we live in and be inspired to work towards whatever dreams they want to accomplish!

Will y’all be tuning in, Texas?! #BWLM💕
