@RangeBeauty, an inclusive beauty company for brown skin, has become the first Black woman-owned make-up brand to score a deal on the ABC show Shark Tank! It’s only up from here for them as they keep leveling up.

Founder #AliciaScott launched the brand in 2018 due to the difficulties of finding the right shade of foundation for her skin that complimented her undertones. In addition to the lack of shade range in mainstream makeup brands, most of these brands’ ingredients inflamed her eczema and acne!

So, Scott decided to create a solution that would be a better option for her skin color and type, thus the birth of #RangeBeauty! This inclusive make-up line nourishes acne-prone or sensitive skin and a range of skin tones and types were considered in its creation.

Next, Scott and her cousin #MyishaFantroy stepped into the Tank seeking an investment of $150,000 in exchange for a 6% stake in their brand. The cousins were looking for a Shark’s help with marketing and expanding their brand. In the process of presenting, they captured not only #LoriGreiner, but also guest Shark #EmmaGrede‘s interest through a strong pitch and the rest is quite literally history.

The brand is currently in the beginning stages of fundraising to secure $1.5 million. You can find Range Beauty products on Target shelves and directly on the brand’s website. This brand is on its way to limitless success as they continue to grow and provide options for beautiful black women everywhere, whether lighter, darker, dryer, or oily, and we love that for them! #BWLM💕
