Mel B Weds at 50 in Royal Style

Spice Girl Mel B just had the royal wedding of her dreams. At age 50, she walked down the aisle at St Paul’s Cathedral in London, the same grand church where Princess Diana and Prince Charles once married.

She said “I do” to longtime love Rory McPhee, a 37-year-old hairdresser she’s dated for several years. The ceremony took place on July 5, 2025, with friends, family, and a few famous faces cheering them on.

Her Wedding Dress Was Pure Grace and Confidence

Mel B stunned in a white gown with tulle sleeves, pearls, and a long flowing veil. She paired the look with white heels and gold-highlighted natural curls.

She shared photos from the day on Instagram, including one showing “just married” written on her dress. “❤️ 05.07.25” she captioned one of the pictures. Another simply read: “MARRIED ❤️❤️❤️.”

A Love That Earned the Spice Girls’ Stamp of Approval

Mel B, whose real name is Melanie Brown, shared in 2022 that her bandmates finally approved of one of her partners. That made this relationship extra meaningful.

“It’s really special to me that they like Rory so much,” she said. “They’ve never liked any of my boyfriends.”

Emma Bunton (Baby Spice) attended the ceremony, while Victoria Beckham and Melanie C sent their love online. “@rorymcphee is a very lucky man!” Beckham wrote.

From Hair Appointments to a Lifetime Together

Rory was more than just her boyfriend. He was also her hairdresser during the 2019 Spice Girls tour. The two moved in together during the COVID-19 lockdown and got engaged in 2022.

In her memoir Brutally Honest, Mel B revealed Rory had known her family before they began dating. She described him as kind, respectful, and steady — qualities she said she hadn’t always chosen in past relationships.

“Down to my core I knew that I had found a good and decent man with morals,” she wrote.

Mel B’s Wedding Is About New Beginnings and Healing

After two past marriages and a highly publicized relationship with Eddie Murphy, Mel B’s wedding marks more than romance. It’s a celebration of healing, self-trust, and joy.

Cape Town’s cathedral bells rang not just for a celebrity couple — but for a woman choosing herself, her peace, and her power.

Congratulations to Mel B on stepping into love with her head high and her heart open.
