Celebrating a Decade of Empowering Small Businesses
Jennyfer Crawford-Williams, the visionary behind All Things Detroit Day, has transformed her apartment-based startup into a powerful movement supporting over 250 small businesses.
What began as a modest endeavor a decade ago has now blossomed into a full-fledged celebration of entrepreneurship and community empowerment.
“All Things Detroit started as a way to augment the services that our consulting operation provided, primarily as a way to provide a powerful venue for small business owners to connect with customers and promote their brand through an environment that is as much fun as it is powerful.” – Jennyfer Crawford-Williams
A Decade of Growth and Impact
Crawford-Williams’ journey with All Things Detroit Day is a testament to the power of perseverance and unwavering commitment.
From its humble beginnings in her Detroit apartment, the movement has grown to become a force to be reckoned with, supporting and elevating small businesses across the city.
“Today that guiding mission has evolved into an affair filled with the same effective approach to elevating small businesses, but now resonating in a fun, more memorable and deeper level that works; in a celebration unlike any other,” Crawford-Williams said.
Celebrating the 10th Anniversary in Style
This year’s 10th-anniversary celebration promises to be an unforgettable event, featuring over 200 manufacturers and businesses.
The event will showcase a diverse array of offerings, including cuisine, apparel, home goods, handmade crafts, and interactive experiences, with a strong emphasis on Black-owned and women-owned businesses.
“I am proud to say that helping small business owners is my professional purpose. These entrepreneurs are the foundation of our community,” Crawford-Williams said. “This All Things Detroit Day, I want to welcome everyone to come out to Eastern Market to discover something new and celebrate our 10th anniversary in a big way.”
A Testimony to Resilience and Determination
Crawford-Williams’ journey speaks of the resilience and determination of entrepreneurs. In 2014, she took the leap and dedicated herself to running her business, Ask Jennyfer, full-time, with just $1,500 in the bank.
Through perseverance and a steadfast belief in her vision, she grew her brand marketing firm into a reputable force, now representing over 250 small businesses.
“With about $1,500 in the bank, she forged ahead and grew a reputable brand marketing firm that now represents more than 250 small businesses and draws more than 12,000 guests to successful small business showcase events like All Things Detroit,” the company’s website says.
Empowering Entrepreneurs and Building Community
The success of All Things Detroit Day is not just a celebration of Crawford-Williams’ achievements but also a testimony of the strength and resilience of the small business community in Detroit.
Participants like Kiana Hughes, the founder of Scent Science, recognize the significance of this milestone and the collective effort that has made it possible.
“Participating in this milestone anniversary is a privilege that highlights the relentless effort and commitment not just of Jennyfer, but of all the small businesses that have flourished alongside her,” Hughes said.
